I can trace my career in planning back to my obsession with maps, international traveling, and being outdoors often as a kid. This led me to study geography in college, and after a year serving in the AmeriCorps VISTA program working in community development, I knew that the field of urban planning was going to be a good fit for me. I have always been curious about my surroundings and the world we live in, often wondering about why, when, or how things got to be the way they are, and the possibilities of change and learning new perspectives. I’m passionate about creating livable and sustainable communities, both for today and for generations to come.
Outside of work, I’m a husband and the father of two daughters, enjoy both listening to and playing music (guitar and piano), and try to spend as much time as I can just being outside, whether it’s gardening at home, walking or biking around town, hiking in the wilderness, or wandering and exploring new places abroad.
