- helping our employees sustain their non-work priorities along with their careers.
- interactive career development planning driven by personal goals, action plans, and frequent engagement with their supervisor.
- continuing education training via universities, extension learning, professional seminars, and industry conferences.
- participation in professional associations and pursuit of relevant professional registrations and certifications.
- development of leadership skills through internal and external training.
“Ascent and I share the same values. I care deeply about quality, service, ethics, and the planet. Ascent does too, and that’s why I love working here. The team is also wonderful. They are kind, supportive, and fun-loving people who make every day a blast!”
“Joining Ascent has afforded me new career growth opportunities that are exciting and challenging. Coming from a much larger firm, it has also allowed me to get back to my roots and to actively participate in the work that I really enjoy doing.”
“Ascent has provided me with opportunities to learn and grow. Even with little hardware experience, I was motivated to take on management of the firm’s mobile devices. With some help and external training, this role has expanded to supporting Ascent’s cybersecurity and inventory.”
Acting as a sounding board, coach, and guide, a mentor supports protégés with their specific needs as they navigate their careers at Ascent.
Each new employee is paired with an existing Ascentian who volunteers to guide them through their first months in their new position.
To diversify the profession, Ascent participates in a multi-organizational internship program providing valuable hands-on experience, professional development,
and networking opportunities to students from underrepresented backgrounds.
Employees are offered small group learning opportunities that cover a broad overview of the issues, resources, and topics that they may face as they begin their careers.
Every technical and operational practice area conducts regular in-house training to facilitate knowledge exchange and career advancement.
Ascent’s robust internal project management program equips individuals with a special set of skills to achieve the quality, timeliness, and budget requirements of their projects.
We promote collaboration and innovation through roundtable meetings where employees exchange new ideas, share best practices, learn from each other, and solve problems together.
At Ascent, we acknowledge that we are only one part of our employees’ lives and that we have an obligation to provide benefits and resources to support the whole of our employees and families. We offer a competitive and diverse mix of benefits focused on supporting our employees’ physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
