Ventura County Energy Roadmap

The Ventura County Energy Roadmap consists of revisions and updates to the energy-related programs that were approved as part of the Ventura County 2040 General Plan. These programs were either directed by the Board of Supervisors, related to 2040 General Plan implementation, or required to maintain compliance with state legislation or to align with state priorities and policy direction.

SOAR Bakersfield

Ascent is supporting the City of Bakersfield in developing the Sustainable Opportunities Advancing Resilience (SOAR) Bakersfield project, a comprehensive climate action plan under the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants program. The plan aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance resilience to climate impacts through implementable projects, programs, and policies aligned with current and future funding.

Elk Grove Climate Compass

Ascent is assisting the City of Elk Grove with an update to its 2019 CAP, the Climate Compass. The Climate Compass will serve as a CEQA-qualified roadmap for reducing local GHG emissions across various sectors while building resilience to future impacts posed by climate change. It aligns local efforts with Assembly Bill 1279, which requires California to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2045 and an 85 percent reduction in anthropogenic GHG emissions by 2045.

San Diego Climate Action Implementation Plan

The City of Sacramento’s 2021–2029 Housing Element is an 8-year strategy to meet the housing needs of current and future residents by providing opportunities for increased overall housing production, greater housing affordability, advancement of equity and inclusion, and protection against residential displacement.

Rancho Cucamonga General Plan and Climate Action Plan
