Nick Kryshak

I grew up in the forests and along the lakeshores of Wisconsin’s Northwoods and have successfully leveraged my childhood love for nature into a career as a biologist. From early on, I was able to gain experience in restoration, ecological research, and conservation management. In my graduate studies, I worked with spotted and barred owls in California, training field researchers and conducting surveys across the Sierra Nevada and other parts of the state. As a biologist with Ascent, I’m able to apply the skills I’ve developed to state and local efforts, assisting with field surveys and CEQA review among many other projects.

Outside of work, you’ll find me wandering the world with my dog, who thankfully shares many of my own hobbies and interests. Look for us along hiking trails, paddling on the water, sampling a new brewery (my favorite), or squirrel watching (her favorite).
