Having been fascinated with cities from an early age and developing a deep passion for the natural world, a career as an environmental planner has been especially rewarding. During college I discovered an interest in writing and the messages writing conveys. CEQA and NEPA are the perfect melding of all these interests, which is probably why I enjoy this work so much. Over my career I have had the opportunity to manage and write CEQA documents for projects in larger California cities, such as San Francisco and Los Angeles, but also in some of the state’s rural areas and areas enriched with natural resources, such as Lake Tahoe and Humboldt County. It is not unusual for me to be working on any number of project types at a given time, including general plans, specific plans, urban development, and infrastructure projects. This has given me the experience needed to successfully manage projects for all types of clients and lead agencies.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading, and traveling throughout California. I also enjoy making and viewing pottery and other types of art.
