Ascent assisted the City of San Luis Obispo in preparing Resilient SLO, a comprehensive approach to climate adaptation planning for the city and its regional connections in support of the General Plan Safety Element update. Ascent worked with the City and its partners to prepare a comprehensive vulnerability assessment, including hydrological modeling; establish adaptation strategies with a clear roadmap for implementation; update the General Plan Safety Element in compliance with SB 379; and engage City staff, stakeholders, and residents in capacity building and plan development.
