Ascent is leading the preparation of the Napa County Regional Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (RCAAP) on behalf of the County of Napa and the incorporated communities in the county. The RCAAP will incorporate a comprehensive suite of GHG emission reduction and climate adaptation strategies. The project includes a comprehensive outreach and engagement program to ensure participation from a broad range of community interests, especially those from vulnerable and historically marginalized communities. The RCAAP will also provide potential CEQA streamlining opportunities for projects that are consistent with the plan, pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15183.5. Prior to kicking off the RCAAP in early 2024, Ascent previously assisted Napa County in preparing a draft climate action plan, along with technical analyses of regional GHG emissions and carbon storage and sequestration potential.
