Vanessa Morganstern

I am a quirky mixture of predictability and spontaneity. Cats and astrology are my passions, so if you ever want to talk felines or have your chart done, stop by my desk and let’s have a chat. In true Cancer fashion, I often yearn for the past and never say no to dessert—unless it’s cheesecake. Two major experiences that shaped me into who I am today are having been a G.O. at Club Med and working at Sacramento Magazines Corporation. Club Med was an adventure and gave me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world while working in gorgeous tropical locations. Sac Mag introduced me to writing and editing and made me feel like I landed where I belonged.

Fast-forward 20+ years and here I am at Ascent. I love this role and thrive on the different assignments that land on my plate each day. It’s a good feeling to work for an eco-friendly organization.
Outside of work, you’ll find me going on a power walk, checking out new restaurants, and catching up with friends.

I love margaritas and hate the heat. If I win the Lotto, I’ll move to Portland (nice and cool), hire a personal chef and a personal trainer, and adopt 10 kitties. Until that glorious day arrives, I’ll daydream over tacos and tequila.
