Born and raised in Sacramento, I am a proud product of my Mexican parents’ unique journeys. Their stories of perseverance and resilience have crafted a rich tapestry of Mexican-American heritage within me. My identity is a rich fusion of both cultures, defining a unique narrative that is authentically mine. If you had asked me five years ago where I would be today, I might have underestimated my trajectory. Yet, life’s lessons have instilled in me the confidence to trust my abilities and recognize that dedication truly reaps rewards.
I’m inspired to serve my community, advocate for environmental equity, and uplift historically marginalized neighborhoods. As a first-generation college graduate, I see my academic and career successes not just as personal milestones but as a collective triumph shared with the family and friends who’ve championed my journey.
Outside of work, I have a passion for live music, global travels, culinary adventures, and maintaining an active lifestyle. My weekends often involve volunteering for a good cause, going on long hikes, taking my loyal companion Mia (a 9-year-old German shepherd/husky mix) on adventures, or indulging in the local culinary scene at nearby restaurants and coffee shops.
