If someone told me in college that my least favorite course, Introduction to CEQA, would end up being my career, I wouldn’t have believed them. Fast forward to the present, I can’t imagine doing anything else—whether it’s tagging along for built environment surveys (including the former Preston youth correctional facility!), spending the day boating around San Francisco Bay searching for harbor seals, or working one-on-one with clients to develop programs and processes for environmental compliance, there is never a shortage of interesting and rewarding work.
At Ascent, I prepare and manage various CEQA/NEPA project documents and environmental compliance efforts. I particularly enjoy complex and challenging projects, especially those involving unique cultural and biological resources issues, and working in a collaborative environment to solve problems and develop practical solutions.
